Holy Smokes! Jay Cutler’s a Bear! (A letter to Jay Cutler)

Dear Jay Cutler,

ChicagoTribune.com is reporting that the Bears traded their First Round Picks in 2009 and 2010, their Third Round Pick in 2009, and Kyle Orton for you, Jay Cutler.

This gives the Bears their first Pro Bowl quality Quarterback in quite some time. There are many great and wonderful things that come with being a Chicago Sports figure, but heavy is the burden of playing in Chicago.

Chicago Sports Fans and media members have destroyed many athletes’ psyches (Rex Grossman, LaTroy Hawkins, Corey Patterson, Eddy Curry, and Scott Ruffcorn) even coaches have been destroyed (Tim Floyd, Dusty Baker, Jerry Manuel) all winners before Chicago scrutiny.

But if you give Chicago at least 1 good year, they will remember you forever (The 1985 Chicago Bears, The 1984 Chicago Cubs, Kerry Wood, Steve Kerr, Robin Ventura, and Jack McDowell)

I love Chicago Sports and I can’t wait to see what you do.
