It’s Episode 114 of the podcast, and we start with the subject of playoffs. (Not coincidentally, we recorded this podcast on Monday during Game 6 of the Blackhawks playoff series.) We delve into discussion on speech tournaments, the choice of the “boner uptuck”, music theory, and naked runs. Then at the end I get to/have to crush everyone’s spirits by revealing the results of the hockey game.

But if there's a silver lining, it's that such events bring on face-making such as this.

It’s back! After a few weeks off to get all of our business in order after the end of our 2011-2012 ComedySportz run, the podcast is back with Episode 109. This podcast coincides with Octavarius’ 3-year anniversary, which means ~~we’re talking about~~ we begin discussion with the number 3. I express my extreme disdain for Dan Brown’s latest book, college cops pounce from bushes, Castellvi gets his own licensed toothbrush, and Mikula has his very own Tale of Sorrow. Enjoy, humans!

Don’t Miss Stars! Wars! The Musical, Tonight Only

We just closed the 35 week run, and before we take a break for real, we’re doing the biggest show we’ve ever attempted, Stars! Wars! The Musical, at the historic 300 seat Mercury Theater. It’s the enhanced Blu-Ray version of the original Star Wars: A New Note that we did at ComedySportz last November and we’ll be accompanied by a live 8 piece band.

If you can make it, get there early. The show has already been featured in the RedEye, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Onion AV Club, Time Out Chicago, The Chicago Reader, Gaper’s Block, Theatre in Chicago, Urban Daddy,

Tickets are $10, but if you dress like a Star Wars character, you get in for $7. If you don’t care about the $3 discount, we recommend buying tickets in advance.

Also, join us after the show at Blue Bayou across the street. We’ve got the whole upstairs reserved and there are drink deals!
