I like computers. I like things that are on computers. And sometimes, I have trouble saying “No”. It’s like if your best friend needed a place to crash for the night, so you let him sleep on your couch. And then the next night he’s still there [SPRING BREAK], but your cousin is passing through town and can’t afford a hotel so you let him snooze on your floor. And by the end of the month your house is full of people you genuinely enjoy and don’t want to kick out, but on the other hand you are having trouble navigating your floor when you wake up, and it’s disconcerting having to ask the guy in the tub to get up and wait in the kitchen while you get ready for work. This is the state in which I find my desktop every 3-ish months.

The background is a bench with holes in it, and you cut bread on the holes, and the crumbs go down a chute, and a bird at the end eats them.

Every one of those is something I needed at the time, and never got around to throwing into my labyrinth of sub-folders, where stuff is “Organized”. Point of the matter is, people rag on me all the time for being messy, and it becomes hard to see my wicked stupid animal backgrounds. I realized I have but one lonely space left for an icon, and then I run the risk of things spilling onto my real life desk, which is a pain to clean up! Windex don’t cut it!

This is not a staged photo. These are my actual icons.

Now I have to fill the screen, because there’s no sense in doing things halfway. One more icon from now and I will clean up the whole shebang. I’ve been through this enough times to know that I will avoid downloading anything I don’t absolutely need, just so I can put off the chore. So what I need from you is, post dumb pictures in the comments, so I will see them and have to download them, and then have to clean up my desktop. This is a self-betterment exercise. Yes.
