About a month ago I posted on this site asking Joseph Gordon Levitt to have pizza with me. click here to see previous post I decided to go for the gold!  Reach for the unreachable!  This past weekend I flew to New York City and asked Joseph Gordon Levitt to have pizza with me.  Here is my story:

My friend Carolyn and I departed for NYC on Sunday morning.  The dream team (Carolyn and I) journeyed to all the NYC hot spots.  Drinks were flowing and sleep was nonexistent.  Monday night came faster than I thought, this was the night of the Joseph Gordon Levitt’s HitRECord Summer in the City event.   I surprisingly managed to get tickets.  The last show sold out in 2 minutes because there are only 100 available tickets.  Anyways back to Monday night- Carolyn and I ate some delicious food in Little Italy and headed over to the lower east side to the bar called Pianos.  It was there when I could feel Joseph in the air… and see him performing a mic check in the back room!  We got in the line for the show.  While we were waiting in line we met two very cute, very nice guys who were friends with one of the HitRECord’s producers.  Devon and Bryan immediately took to my quest of asking Joseph to have pizza with me.  Here is Devon holding the amazing sign I made for Joseph…

Before you know it, the show was starting and I was front and center!  Joseph came into the crowd and definitely boob grazed me… no joke.  I did not mind!

The show was unexplainable, but I will try.  Joseph showed videos that HitRECord produced, audience members were used to collaborate and create a sentence that will be used for future hitrecord video.  Joseph sang the “Nothing Big” song along with the video playing in the backround.   Here is Joseph randomly singing in French during the show!

It was a crazy fun time.

Joseph ended the show and walked off stage.  I thought that was the end of my journey.  I just about left the room, when Carolyn shouted “Lauren he’s back”… she looked at me and I looked at her,  she yelled “GO!”    I knew this would be my only chance… so I took it.  I ran onto the stage and got Joseph’s attention.  I told him about the Octavarius pizza post and he nicely declined to have pizza with me, but he did say it was pretty cool I came all the way from Chicago for this event.  He took a picture with me and said if he was drinking that night he would have had a drink with me.

He took an Octavarius card, said “this looks awesome” and soon left the bar.

Carolyn and I met back up with the very cute guys Devon and Brian.  We found out later that Devon is actually actor Devon Graye, who is the leading actor in the movie coming out in September called Legendary.   (He has blond hair in this trailer)

Yes, Devon got to work with Danny Glover and John Cena… I’m  jealous.  You can also find him on Dexter, CSI, and Bones.

My new goal: Have pizza with Devon Graye!

Soo cute! 🙂
