Oh Octavarius, how I love you. I keep coming across more and more video from my college years that I want to share with the world.

Youtube is great, but the fact that I only have 2 subscribers doesn’t really assure me that these digital pieces of gold will be seen. Thanks Octavarius for giving me a platform to share this garbage.

The latest finding is the trailer from the short film I attempted to make with 3 of my room mates.

Here’s the premise – 4 college students live together. They are messy. They don’t want to do the dishes. They argue about who will clean them. They get into a fight with lightsabers. One of them turns out to be a robot. Credits roll.

Of course you can’t pick up any of that from this trailer, which consists mostly of anxious sounding music, some flashes of white and nothing else happening. I put this together as a serious attempt to show the movie off. When I watched it I found it hilarious that I made such an effort to create something serious about something so stupid and it ended up being a minute and a half of nothing happening.

What is it with me and creating “serious” things that end up funny? (Anyone remember my play, “That’s a Good Boy, Michael”?)

Anyway, our movie was never finished due to our schedules, and the fact that it’s ridiculously time consuming to create movies, even stupid short ones. We did film the intro/outro to the movie… maybe you’ll get to see those some day.
